To further explore overseas development opportunities, build a bridge for our firm’s cross-border legal services targeting ASEAN regions and support enterprises in expanding overseas steadily and sustainably, the Seminar on Legal Affairs of Three ASEAN Countries was grandly held in the main conference room of Sichuan Xingrong Law Firm yesterday afternoon. The event was jointly hosted by the Overseas Business Department of Sichuan Xingrong Law Firm (hereinafter referred to as Xingrong Law Firm), Beijing Dingyaohe Law Firm and the ASEAN Legal Alliance.
Centering on legal practices in Cambodia, Singapore and Malaysia, this event gathered legal elites at home and abroad to explore new paths for cross-border legal cooperation. The session was highly informative and achieved fruitful outcomes.
The conference officially kicked off with an address delivered by Chairman Huang Mingcheng of the ASEAN Legal Alliance. He stated that the Alliance has long been committed to connecting regional legal resources. Its collaboration with Xingrong Law Firm and Dingyaohe Law Firm aims to open up legal cooperation channels between Southwest China and ASEAN, and provide solid legal support for cross-border economic and trade cooperation.

Kang Leap, Managing Partner of LIM Law Group in Cambodia, gave a speech titled Business Environment and Practical Guidelines for Enterprise Establishment in Cambodia. He elaborated on Cambodia’s investment policies, company registration procedures and key compliance matters, helping enterprises eliminate legal blind spots for investment in Cambodia.

Khor See Lin, Senior Partner of Yeo & Mah Law Firm in Malaysia, delivered a presentation entitled Unlocking Malaysia’s Investment Legal Framework and On-site Practical Operations. She comprehensively illustrated investment access rules, foreign investment preferential policies and practical implementation details, providing full-process legal guidance for Chinese enterprises investing in Malaysia.
A short break was arranged during the meeting. Director Chen Ligao, Founder of our law firm, accompanied guests to visit the office premises of Xingrong Law Firm, introducing its development history, business layout and international service philosophy, laying a solid foundation for in-depth future cooperation.
After the visit, Mr. Li Ke, Person-in-charge of the Overseas Business Department of Xingrong Law Firm, guided all guests back to their seats for the signing and unveiling ceremony. He stated that Xingrong Law Firm is deeply rooted in the southwest China legal service market, with its overseas business department focusing on ASEAN-related foreign legal services. This seminar serves as a valuable platform for Sino-foreign legal experience exchange and a key step in the firm’s international development layout. Going forward, the firm will leverage professional expertise to assist Chinese enterprises in exploring the ASEAN market.
Witnessed by all guests present, the signing ceremony among Xingrong Law Firm, Dingyaohe Law Firm and ASEAN Legal Alliance, as well as the unveiling ceremony of Xingrong ASEAN Legal Service Center were successfully held. Representatives from all parties formally signed cooperation agreements, marking the official establishment of long-term, stable and in-depth strategic cooperative relations among the three parties.
